Our Story
Responding to the
given mandate, Pastors Sam and
Funmi with two of their Children
left the shores of Nigeria and
arrived in the States on May
26th 1999 with Newark, New
Jersey as their first stop. The
word of the Lord shortly before
Leaving Africa in Psalm 107:7
were that He’s leading them to a
city of habitation. During the
40 days fasting and prayer, God
gave a clear indication that the
city is Columbus Ohio.
In Columbus a young lady was
kind enough to accommodate them
for a couple of weeks. The first
service was held in her
apartment with four adults and
two children on Sunday August
22nd 1999, which incidentally
was Pastor Sam’s birthday. For
the third service, the church
was moved from the Belcher Drive
apartment to 2290 Teakwood
drive, which was to serve as
both home for the Adeyemis for
over a couple of years; and as
church till December 1999, when
it became too small to
accommodate the growing
congregation.
The ministry moved to 795 East
Hudson street in December 1999; left for
1805 East Main street, in April 2001. After
only nine months, the Lord specifically
spoke saying it was time to move. Then OCC
moved up north to 4060 Indianola Avenue;
from where she moved to the present location
in the month of August 2005. Every move was
a testimony of God’s awesome faithfulness
and clear cut confirmation of His leadings
with each move taking the ministry deeper
into Him and higher levels of His glory. All
thanks and glory to God for the tremendous
impact He’s making world wide through
OCMINT. The story is still in writing by the
power of His Spirit. The least we could do
is to keep being faithful in His service;
committing to His call upon us: TRANSFORMING
OUR WORLD… RAISING A GENERATION OF
TRANFORMATIONAL LEADERS.
